One of the best views in the Wasatch in my opinion is the view from Clayton Peak (also known as Mount Majestic) at 10,720 feet. The view from the peak offers a panoramic view of the Brighton Lakes area, the Wasatch Mountains, the Uinta Mountains, Heber Valley, and Mount Timpanogos. It’s breath-taking, and an relatively quick peak to bag at 2.5 miles round trip (in comparison to others in the area)!<\/p>\n

Take I-215 S and exit on 6200 South towards Big\/Little Cottonwood. Turn left after exiting the interstate. Continue East to the canyon on Utah 210, following signs for Brighton\u00a0and Solitude. Drive all the way\u00a0up Big\u00a0Cottonwood Canyon, turn left onto Guardsman Pass Road (it’s narrow and winding), and park at the Guardsman Pass Overlook\u00a0parking lot. You’ll see lots of cars and a dirt lot on the right.<\/p>\n
When you approach the trail on the far right side of the parking lot, take the trail that goes UP and follows the ridge. Everyone else was going to the left, down to the lake. You’re going to bag this peak and the view will be worth your climb! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
