I have exciting news\u2026 We have a new family member\u2026 a furry one! I mentioned her\u00a0briefly in my anniversary post<\/a>, but I figured she needed a formal introduction!<\/p>\n

Ever since living in the old apartment, I\u2019ve wanted to get an adventure dog to bring on our adventures. I wanted a puppy, but as fate would have it, my sister in law needed to re-home her 5 year old golden retriever named Koda. It was a great solution for both of our families!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Like most golden retrievers, Koda is extremely sweet and well-mannered. She can be quite excitable with lots of seemingly endless energy\u2014 even still at 5 years old! Unlike a puppy, she\u2019s already potty trained and past the chewing phase. Since Brighton and I both work full time jobs, it also makes sense with our schedules to have a little bit of an older dog that doesn\u2019t need quite as much attention\u2026 but still has the energy of a puppy!<\/p>\n

Since I\u2019ve moved to Salt Lake, I\u2019ve known Koda and enjoyed taking her for walks in the park or up the canyons. Brighton and I are having a great time exploring the accessible trails near our new house. I\u2019ve felt like a new mother taking copious amounts of photos of her. She\u2019s just so pretty! *insert heart eyes emoticon here*<\/p>\n

I haven\u2019t had a dog in the family since my family\u2019s springer spaniel passed away in 2008 (?).<\/p>\n
