It&#8217;s taking time out of a busy schedule to fit nature into life. I personally find time in nature a great way to recharge and rejuvenate my soul. As cheesy as it sounds, it really is spiritual for me. According to their site, the challenge is a movement and I would agree as I have met many people doing the same thing as me, but each journey will be different.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p4\">\u201c52 HIKE CHALLENGE IS A GLOBAL MOVEMENT EMPOWERING YOU TO TAKE A PERSONAL JOURNEY TO DISCOVER THE PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND SPIRITUAL BENEFITS GAINED THROUGH HIKING ONCE A WEEK FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR. THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE ALL AROUND THE WORLD ARE TAKING THE CHALLENGE TO HELP CHANGE THEIR LIVES IN A POSITIVE WAY, ONE STEP AT A TIME.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><center><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/131743701\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/center>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">My Thoughts<\/h3>\n<p>I believe this will be a challenge for me since 52 hikes (hiking once\/week) will be a challenge for me. It rains more often than not here (at least during the winter months), and as I get busier, it can be easy to let nature fall by the wayside. Good thing I love being outside. It&#8217;s free therapy for the mind, body, and soul! I have been keeping a list of hikes I find in Washington (and beyond) that I&#8217;d like to try out and a challenge like this is great to try them all out as I go.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">Recording the Hikes<\/h3>\n<p>I will be posting on <a href=\"https:\/\/instagram.com\/adventurehilary\/\">Instagram<\/a>\u00a0after each of my hikes with a mini story and at least 1 photo from the hike. I hope can keep this going for the entire challenge, but keeping up with social media is tough for me! (I fail at being a millennial, oops!) We&#8217;ll see how it goes. My second goal for recording the hikes is that I&#8217;ll do mini trip reports on this blog as much as possible.
