I was looking for a hike that was high payoff without too much distance or gain in the Snoqualmie area\u2014 this hike had it all plus a serving of temps in the 90s. \u2600\ufe0f It was worth it for the view at the top of Mt Rainer, and for the easy peak bag! \u2705<\/p>\n<p>The trail itself is short but steep\u2014 The first part starts climbing immediately with switchbacks until you reach the ridgeline where it evens out substantially until the short 100 feet to the summit. Turn right at the bottom of the exit ramp, and reset your odometer. Cross State Route 906; the road turns into Hyak Dr NE 0.2 miles later. Proceed on Hyak Dr NE until the paved road ends in 0.6 miles, and the road becomes FR-9070.\u00a0\u2028\u2028Continue on FR-9070 for 4.4 miles, until you see a sign on the right for trail #1348. FR-9070 can accommodate 3-4 cars parking on the side of the road.
