The views are some of the best I&#8217;ve ever seen\u2014 and we&#8217;ve even been to <a href=\"http:\/\/nextstopadventure.com\/index.php\/2018\/06\/24\/adventuring-through-a-fairy-tale-lauterbrunnen-wengen-murren-jungfrau-region-switzerland\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Switzerland<\/a>. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"banff, banff national park, peyto lake, peyto lake overlook, bow summit, bow summit overlook, icefields parkway, winter, peyto lake overlook winter, winter hike\" src=\"http:\/\/nextstopadventure.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/2019-02-23_0020.jpg\" alt=\"banff, banff national park, peyto lake, peyto lake overlook, bow summit, bow summit overlook, icefields parkway, winter, peyto lake overlook winter, winter hike\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">This viewpoint is off the Icefields Parkway which is a must-do item in itself, and during the winter the upper lot closes which makes it a little walk for the remainder of the distance. We were unsure of the total distance and conditions, so we chose to wear our snowshoes which ended up being unnecessary for the conditions but would&#8217;ve been helpful if it had recently snowed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"banff, banff national park, peyto lake, peyto lake overlook, bow summit, bow summit overlook, lake, peyto lake overlook, bow summit, bow summit overlook, icefields parkway, winter, peyto lake overlook winter, winter hike\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The distance to the overlook point was about a half-mile or less which makes this a short jaunt to this stunning viewpoint.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I think the best way to explain this experience is by letting the
