25.

Today is my 25th birthday! Hooray— a quarter century! I’m spending my birthday driving for 11-12 hours to San Diego to see Brighton’s brother, Chase in sunny California. We’ve been talking about visiting for a while, and Thanksgiving seemed like a great time to drive out. The weather in SLC is turning cold and wet, and I’m in denial that winter exists still. Winter is fun for a brief period, then it’s just annoying. (My Floridian is showing, I know)

In honor of the special day, I wanted to do a list of 25 things that I want to do in my 25th year.

  1. Expand more into the wedding photography industry.
  2. Make my photography business a more substantial income.
  3. Buy a house.
  4. Go back to Glacier National Park.
  5. Go on a 5 day backpacking trip on the John Muir Trail.
  6. Learn how to outdoor rock climb.
  7. Expand my recipe/cooking repertoire.
  8. Learn to relax, and have more downtime in my life.
  9. Build more savings and pay off more debt.
  10. Visit Maroon Bells in Colorado during the summer.
  11. Hike Antelope Canyon/The Wave in Arizona.
  12. Road trip cross-country with Brighton, visiting friends along the way.
  13. See at least 4 more US National Parks.
  14. Learn off-camera flash techniques.
  15. Get better at using Photoshop for photography.
  16. Continue to build my photography network.
  17. Decorate my house and make it a home.
  18. Make yoga & the gym a habit.
  19. Visit the Northeast US.
  20. Celebrate our first anniversary!
  21. Continue to blog life experiences, hikes and trips.
  22. Read more books.
  23. Get TSA pre-check and go home more often.
  24. Lose weight and get in shape.
  25. Get a dog… maybe!

Make it to 26. ?

Yes! I had you in mind when I wrote that one 😉 We’re saving for a house, so hopefully we can travel after that stuff is settled! Brighton has unlimited PTO now so hopefully it’s even easier in the future to come visit. Are you planning on coming out to SLC anytime?
